Training on Practise Management Programs

Are you about to start using an online practice management program for your Allied Health Clinic? It could be that you are a Psychologist, Physiotherapist, Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Podiatrist, Osteopath, Chiropractor, Remedial Massage Therapist, Nutritionist, Naturopath or and Exercise Physiologist.

You might be moving from a manual diary to an online diary or you are changing from one program to another – we have the knowledge and expertise in these programs (Cliniko, Halaxy and Power Diary) and can assist you in the transition.

We provide a few options for you to choose from in regard to the training dependant on your location, time and learning style.

Face to Face Training – This can be done in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Canberra and Western Australia – really anywhere in Australia!

The Process We would have a Pre Meeting Zoom/Skype call where we meet each other over the phone and work through all the different aspects of your business so that we can get a thorough understanding of how you are going to use the program. We formulate training goals and outcomes and work towards timeframes to put the training and new program in place. After the meeting we plan for the training day/s and we begin our research and set up of the training remotely before coming in and sitting with you in your office to begin the training.

Benefits There are HUGE benefits to training with our clients face to face. Firstly we get to see the business in action, understand the values and the processes already in place. Secondly it is so beneficial to actually review the current practices and look at how we can improve on these and ensure we can assist in getting better outcomes for the business. Thirdly we can also suggest further improvements and advantages of using the program online to save on some manual practices that are perhaps currently in your clinic. And Fourthly – if you have staff onsite on the training days, we can train the staff on the program, saving you heaps of further training time that you would have to set aside going forward

Outcomes – At the end of the day/s training you will have your new online diary set up, templates set up, clients moved across, types of appointments, fees and all users of the program set up and trained as well. You will have everything in place to begin using the program (being mindful some of the pre – prep work would have already been completed)

Additional Options: Training Manual – As we train you on the program, we can document all the training and put together a training manual for you and your business in a word or google document so that you can use this for training and induction for new staff

Online Training – Using Zoom/Skype – This can be done anywhere is Australia – as long as you have internet access – Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Canberra and Western Australia


The Process
– This is a similar set up to the face to face training above. After the meeting we plan for the training meetings which we will do online with you and over the phone. This can incorporate screen sharing and recording of the training so that you can go back to the recording at any time to check on a process. We highly recommend that you also include the additional training manual in this process as we can then document everything for you.

Benefits There are also benefits to training with our clients online. For some clients, they like to listen and watch how the programs work – a visual learner will get more benefits from face to face interactions, but online training is also a viable option for the who cannot access the training face to face. The training can also be done in small chunks of time over a time period – perhaps a one or two week period, working around our clients busy diaries.

Recommendations: We recommend one hour training blocks as this is the time that is most beneficial to retaining new information that you are learning. We also recommend at least using three hours (this is the minimum) – First hour – pre meeting and overview of the business. Second hour – Set up of practitioners/users of the system, appointment types, diary (colour coding options) and importing of clients. (this can be done prior to next training call by our team – so that the next call is just training) Third Hour – Training on how the system works, fees, payments, emails, sms reminders, templates, funding options. Fourth and Fifth Hours – (additional – if required) Overview of whole system, additional functionality that can be used, other staff training

Outcomes – At the end of the online training sessions you will have your new online diary set up, templates set up, clients moved across, types of appointments, fees and all users of the program set up and trained as well. You will have everything in place to begin using the program.

Further Support – we can also provide further email support for the following month if required, to assist you in trouble shooting any issues that may come up
